Qualification Overview

This qualification provides learners with a basic understanding of essential workplace health and safety practices.

Entry Requirements

No formal prerequisites. Learners must be 14+ and should have a good command of English (equivalent to Level 1).

How long will it take?

Total Qualification Time (TQT): 10 hours, including 6 hours of guided learning.

• Hazards and emergency procedures
• Recording and reporting incidents

Assessment Method

Assessment is by a 20-question multiple-choice exam, completed within 45 minutes. Pass mark: 60%.

The exam must follow Highfield Qualifications’ Examination and Invigilation procedures.

ID Requirements

Photographic ID must be shown before assessment. Acceptable forms include:

• Passport
• UK driving licence
• Employee ID card, student ID card, travel card, etc.

Other valid forms such as signed credit cards or ID confirmed by a line manager may also be accepted.
